NBA2K23 is on the way and the hype is as real as Chet Holmgren’s Summer League debut. When it was announced who the cover athletes would be for NBA 2K23 the internet was on fire. NBA 2K23 is scheduled to be released on September 9th but you can preorder starting today.
This year for the NBA 2K series we will be getting an NBA 2K23 Michael Jordan Edition. The edition has been rumored to be bringing back the Michael Jordan challenges that were back in NBA 2K11 when you can recreate/play some of Air Jordan’s biggest moments in his career.

Devin Booker will be gracing the cover of the NBA 2K23 Standard & Deluxe addition. It’s well deserved after the last couple of seasons that DBook has had in the NBA. He’s one of the NBA’s brightest young stars and he has taken that Mamba Mentality and applied it to his game. On the cover, you can see Booker rocking the Kobe 4 PE that he wore all season with the “Be Legendary” on the side from Kobe. Devin Booker has taken that next step and it was about time that 2K noticed it and rewarded him. The Suns just gave Booker an extension so it seems like all the stars were aligning at the right time with this cover.

The WNBA Edition will be featuring two of the most iconic women’s basketball players in the world. We will be getting Sue Bird & Diana Taurasi on the cover as they have been dominating the WNBA/USA Basketball for over 10+ years. This will be the second year the WNBA will be represented with their own cover as last year was Candance Parker. The evolution in the women’s game has been contagious as the NBA2K team continues to honor the greats in women’s basketball. Both Bird & Taurasi have been at the top of their game and have been influential to the game of basketball so this cover was a no-brainer. Sue Bird will be retiring after this season so this was a great way to send the legend off.
