Detroit Lions (8-2) vs Green Bay Packers (4-6)
An NFC North matchup will start our Thanksgiving Day slate of games. Both teams are coming off wins in both of their matchups. The Lions won a divisional matchup against the Bears last week 31-26 as the Lions have established themselves as one of the best teams in the league and have complete control of the NFC North. The Packers won a close game against the Chargers last week but the win costed them two running backs as Aaron Jones and Emmanuel Wilson were carted off, the Packers will rely on Jordan Loves arm this week to try and pull off an upset.
Jared Goff had probably his worse game of the year last week passing for 236 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions in the win last week, he will look to try and bounce back and keep his team atop the NFC North. Rookie Jahmyr Gibbs had one touchdown and 95 total yards as he is slowly getting better each week.
Jordan Love played well last week and passed for 322 yards with two touchdowns in their win against the Chargers, they will need another big game out of him this week without Jones, you would have to expect AJ Dillons will carry some of the load for this Packers offense without Jones.
Score Prediction: Lions 27 – Packers 17
Dallas Cowboys (7-3) vs Washington Commanders (4-7)
Dallas is coming off yet another big win in their last week matchup against the Panthers, in a game that their defense stepped up and made big play after big play. The Commanders however are coming off a loss to the Giants which was disappointing as the Giants were blown out a week ago by the Cowboys. The Commanders will need to play a slow and methodical offense and control the time of possession to stay in this game, if not the Cowboys offense can rack up points in a hurry.
In back to back weeks Dak Prescott hasn’t had to finish the game out as they have won by a landslide in both games, he passed for two touchdowns and 189 yards in the win, a big note is Tony Pollard scored his first touchdown since week one. Hopefully that will awaken him and allow the Cowboys offense to expand even more.
Sam Howell had been having an amazing start to the year but in last week loss his stats took a massive hit, he passed for 256 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions, and rushed for a touchdown as well, the Commanders will need him to play perfect if they want to have a chance in staying in this game, be ready to expect a heavy dosage of Brian Robinson Jr. as the Cowboys secondary has shut down teams week after week.
Score Prediction: Cowboys 31 – Commanders 17
Seattle Seahawks (6-4) vs San Francisco 49ers (7-3)
Seattle is coming off a razor close game against the Rams which they lost by one point after the Rams kicked the game winning field goal with 1:31left in the game, and quarterback Geno Smith hurt his elbow and might be without running back Kenneth Walker III. The 49ers are back to their winning ways as they beat the Buccaneers 27-14 in a game we’re Brock Purdy played statistically perfect, and their defense is back wreaking havoc.
Seattle is hopeful to have Geno Smith this week as he’s dealing with an elbow injury, he passed for 233 yards with one touchdown before getting taken out of the game. If unavailable Drew Lock will be the next man up this week and the 49ers defense may have a field day if he’s taking the snaps for the Seahawks.
The 49ers defense won them the game last week as they had a game sealing interception in the end zone. Brock Purdy passed for three touchdowns and 333 yards with a perfect passer rating 158.3, Christian McCaffrey found the end zone after having his 17 game streak of having a touchdown in a game end the week before.
Score Prediction: Seahawks 20 – 49ers 34
