UK songwriter Sinead Harnett has a voice that will resonate throughout a room reminiscent of the great Whitney Houston, she is now cementing herself as someone to look out for in R&B. Spending a good few years exploring different sounds with various producers finding her identity as an artist. While her long-awaited debut album, Lessons In Love, will be dropping September 20th.
With singles like “Leo Bear,” an emotional-provoking love letter to her nephew who was born prematurely tell him the happiness experienced watching him grow stronger. As well as the new single, “Pulling Away” featuring Gallant, which recently received a video with a smooth set of visuals shot on location in L.A. as the follow-up. Its plane to see that this upcoming album will be a treat to all those fans who have patiently waited will be rewarded.
“I never planned the way this album would take shape and I didn’t know the title or concept until I’d chosen the songs. Up until now, I hadn’t even realized what my purpose is as a writer; but now, standing in front of this project, I see that I’ve done everything out of love,” said Harnett in a recent conversation with Complex
Lessons In Love sees Harnett not only collaborate with Gallant, but long-time friends and collaborators JD, Reid and Monro who produced “Lessons” and the latter handling production on three tracks(“All That You Are”,“Too Good For A Bad Thing” and “Him Too”) Harnett brings in high-profile songwriters like Grades, Stint and Cass Lowe, which suggests we’re in for an album that’s more than worth the wait.
In celebration of the release date of Lesson In Love, Harnett decided to give fans an additional treat to fans on Instagram with a post announcing her North American tour starting in Los Angeles on Oct. 29th at Fonda Theatre.
