New York Giants Vs Washington Commanders
The (7-5-1) New York Giants will be visiting the (7-5-1) Washington Commanders in a NFC East divisional matchup. In their earlier meeting they ended the game with a tie which is a rare occurrence.
The Giants have struggled recently and they were once favorites to win the NFC east until the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys came out of nowhere and took over the division. But it’s been a competitive NFC east as the Giants have the third seed. The Giants lost 48-22 last week to the Eagles, if the Giants want to keep their playoff hopes alive they’d have to keep winning but with a loss it would only make it harder for a playoff spot. Running back Saquon Barkley has been put on the injured list but is going to try and play the game despite his injury, in a must win game they will need Barkley despite going up against a tough Commanders defensive line. The Giants defense will need to string together a lot of stops if they want to win this game.
The Commanders are looking for a playoff spot, they’ve been on fire lately with Tyler Heinicke leading the way on offense. The defense has been surprisingly one of the strongest in the league and ranked fourth in defense. Chase Young may be out with an injury but he is listed as questionable. The Commanders will definitely have to rely on limiting turnovers and throwing the ball efficiently against the Giants, the Commanders defense will have to limit Barkleys playmaking abilities. On the bright side the commanders do have home field advantage and should use that advantage to further their chances to make the playoffs.
A NFC east battle between the Giants and Commanders fighting for a playoff spot could lead to an aggressive game.
Score prediction: Giants win (17-10)
