We are heading into Week 5 of the NFL season with an interesting matchup between the Indianapolis Colts up against the Denver Broncos. Thursday night will feature veteran Quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Matt Ryan going up against each other. Both Wilson and Ryan have joined new teams this year and are looking to settle into their respective new teams. With both teams not having the start they were looking for, this matchup will be interesting to see which team improves their win record and see if it’s the turnaround they’ve been looking for. This game will no doubt be a defensive battle as both offenses are struggling, whichever team can force the most turnovers and capitalize them with touchdowns will ultimately run away with a victory.
The Broncos are 2-2 on the season and will be hosting the Colts on Thursday night football. This is not what the Broncos expected to start their season as Russell Wilson and the offense haven’t been able to get it going. Last week the Broncos were able to put up 23 points a season high in a loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. Broncos will be without running back Javonte Williams who tore his ACL last week. The Broncos defense has been a bright spot for them as they’ve allowed less than 20 points through weeks 1 through 3. Thursday night will be an important game for the Broncos as they look to improve to 3-2 as they are hungry for a victory and look to get things going on offense.
The Colts are 1-2-1 suffering a loss to the Tennessee Titans in week 4. Matt Ryan and the Colts offense will be without Star running back Jonathan Taylor who has been ruled out with an ankle Injury. Nyheim Hines will be the starting running back for the Colts. The Colts have also been struggling on the offensive side of the ball. We could see Ryan rely on his receivers more with Taylor out with an injury. The Colts defense will also be without Linebacker Shaquille Leonard who is an important player on the defensive side of the ball for the Colts. This game will be pivotal for the Colts as they don’t want to drop to 1-3-1 on the season and dig themselves deeper into a hole.
Score Prediction: Broncos 17 – Colts 14
