The New Orleans Saints (3-5) are coming into this game against the Ravens looking for their 4th win. Last week was the first time all season that Alvin Kamara was able to find the end zone. It took all the way up to Week 8 for that to happen and it catapulted the Saint’s offense finally. Alvin Kamara got loose in the backfield and even in the passing game. Last week Kamara had 62 yards rushing and 96 yards receiving with 3 touchdowns. The Saints just got the news that they lost Michael Thomas for the season after a foot injury. Now with that news, it should open things up for Kamara in the receiving game as he becomes one of the primary weapons. Chris Olave has been amazing in his rookie campaign and he will need to step it up tonight against that Ravens secondary. The Saints have been moving the ball smoothly with Andy Dalton as he’s finding a rhythm now. The Ravens give up some generous yards to the opposing quarterbacks so look for Dalton to have a chance to take off. Dalton will be in a prime position to get the Saints back into the winning column.
The Ravens (7-3) acquired Roquan Smith from the Bears as he looks to make things tougher for the Saint’s offense. The Ravens will always have a chance in any game as long as they have Lamar Jackson. The Ravens are Jackson it’s that simple and it will be a duel-threat type of game as he plans to throw/run all over the Saints. Lamar will be without Mark Andrews and Rashod Batemen so he will be depending on a lot of the other guys like Devin Duvernay, Gus Edwards, etc to make some plays. This is one of those games where Lamar Jackson could just take matters into his own hands and run all over the Saints. So in order for the Ravens to win this game the defense will have to slow down Kamara/Dalton and make it tough for them to move the ball all night. The Ravens will need to try and outscore the Saints so that it can force them into playing from behind and making more mistakes.
Score prediction: Ravens Win (31-24)
