Detroit Lions Vs San Francisco 49ers

A trip to the Super Bowl comes down to the Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game. Both teams come off slim margins of victory.

The Lions are competing in the NFC championship game for the first time since 1992. Jared Goff is trying to make history by leading this Lions team to the Super Bowl. The Lions offense played effectively against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week but are battling some injuries with their Star Tight end Sam LaPorta has been pushing through some injuries but the Lions have many offensive weapons like David Montgomery & Amon-Ra St. Brown. The Lions defense played some hard hitting football and the defense sealed the victory by intercepting Baker Mayfield on the game’s final drive for the Buccaneers. The Key to success for this Lions team will be avoiding turning the ball over on offense and the defense being able to slow down the star stacked 49ers offense.

The 49ers came off a hard fought win against the Green Bay Packers, the 49ers essentially were behind all game until the fourth quarter when the offense pulled through and scored much needed points to win the game. But on the flip side of the ball the defense sealed the victory by intercepting Jordan Love on the Packers final drive of the game. The 49ers struggled offensively all game but Christian McCaffrey was able to lead the offense on the ground and scored two offensive touchdowns. The 49ers might be without Deebo Samuel this game as he sustained an injury early in the Packers game. The 49ers defense could not stop the run and they will have to figure out a way to stop this Lions team that loves running the ball if they want to win this matchup. The 49ers offense can’t afford to turn the ball over or play conservatively in this game; they will have to come out with a solid gameplan to win this matchup.

This Matchup will be in Santa Clara at Levi’s stadium home of the 49ers and the winner will punch their ticket to the Super Bowl and will be one step closer to hoisting the Vince Lombardi trophy.

Score Prediction: Lions Win (24-17)
