Russell Westbrook, Los Angeles Lakers (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Russell Westbrook, Los Angeles Lakers (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Featured

Russell Westbrook’s one of the most dynamic point guards in the history of the NBA. This season Russ was able to go home and play for his hometown LA Lakers in front of family/friends. On the season he averaged 18.5 PPG, 7.4 RPG, and 7.1 APG while embracing the challenge of anything that the coaching staff asked of him. Russell Westbrook gets targeted in the national media a lot but they’ve never given Russ credit for adapting his game to anyone he plays with on the court.

Russ never cheats the NBA or the fans when it comes to effort and energy on a nightly basis. The style of play from Russell Westbrook gains the respect of his NBA peers and one thing about the “Brodie” is he will give it his all to be great. On and off the court Mr. Why Not has proven his haters wrong and will continue to do so no matter his situation.

The Jordan Why Not Zer0.5 has been one of the sneakers of choice for Russell Westbrook in 2021-2022. In the year he’s rocked some of the dopest PEs as he continues to be one of the true PE Kings in the NBA. Jordan Brand always laces Russ with some crazy colorways that aren’t available to the public but they always have fans hoping for a random shock drop. The Jordan Why Not Zer0.5 had some dope colorways that were released to the public that can be seen below before all the PEs. Check out the Jordan Why Not Zer0.5 PEs and let us know if you agree with the order of the list as well.

The Top 10 Duke University PEs Under Coach K (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

The Top 10 Duke University PEs Under Coach K (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Featured

The Duke Blue Devils didn’t make it to the National Championship game but Coach K won the war with his legendary career. Coach K and his Blue Devils fell short to their college rival North Carolina on Saturday 81-77. Even though Coach K was sent home his career speaks for itself. In the career of Mike Krzyzewski, he’s won five NCAA Championships and his coaching tree contains 14 coaches that have also shown success. One thing about Coach K is that he was a born leader and he demanded excellence out of every one of his players. Mike Krzyzewski had 96 players that he coached that made it to the NBA which is unreal. His legacy on the court will forever live on through his players and his staff from the Duke family tree.

Below I made a list of the best Nike Duke PEs that have graced the court since Coach K started at Duke in 1980. With Duke being a part of the Nike Basketball Family it made sense to showcase some of the best we’ve seen from any college schools.

Darius Bazley, Oklahoma City Thunder (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Darius Bazley, Oklahoma City Thunder (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Featured

Darius Bazley went from being an intern for New Balance to one of the NBA’s rising stars in Oklahoma City. Bazley has shown nothing but promise and growth in OKC when it comes to displaying his game. One of the things that Bazley has improved on in his short career has been his aggressiveness to the basket with ease. Watching Darius Bazley he continues to give you passion, energy, and sacrifice on the court on a nightly basis.

As his 3rd year with the Oklahoma City Thunder is coming to an end he was able to showcase his scoring threat against the Memphis Grizzlies dropping a career-high 29 points with 10 rebounds. On the year as of right now Darius Bazley’s averaging 10.8 PPG and 6.3 RPG. Look for Darius Bazley to take that next step in his career going into this offseason with his training as his ceiling is extremely high for success in the NBA.

Darius Bazley’s off-court style has always caught people’s attention. It has been his on-court style with some of the New Balance’s he has worn this season that have been breaking necks. This season Bazley has worn the New Balance (Two Wxy 1, Two Wxy 2, OMNI1 Low, Kawhi II) just to name a few in some crazy colorways that the public wishes they got their hands on. It looks like this season Bazley made it a mission to put the OKC Thunder on the map with some of the dope PEs in their color scheme.

New Balance is definitely on the rise and Darius Bazley’s one of the faces that will be leading the way for them with a star-studded lineup. Below you can check out some of the New Balance PEs that Darius Bazley wore before the 2021-2022 season that everyone wanted to get their hands on.

Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Featured

Stephen Curry has changed the game of basketball forever with his style of play. The All-Time 3 Point Leader has mastered every single shot in the game of basketball while continuing to extend his range. Curry can beat you inside, outside, off the dribble, from half-court. You name it and Steph makes it look extremely easy. There’s nothing else that Stephen Curry has to prove to the fans in the NBA in his career as he’s been able to put up amazing numbers yearly.

This season Steph has put up 25.5 PPG, 6.3 APG, 5.2 RPG in the Under Armour Curry 9 and other Curry Models. Steph has been on a hot streak that we have not seen since NBA Jam’s “He’s On Fire” moments in the video game. In the NBA All-Star Game, he put on a shooting display that we will never forget ever finished with the All-Star Game MVP.

Stephen Curry brought that momentum from his historic All-Star Game showcase to the regular season with the Golden State Warriors. After the break, he’s been averaging 27 PPG and was letting it be known that he can lead this group of guys. This season Curry has put the Warriors on his back without Klay & Draymond but it’s his leadership that’s stood out the most.

The Warriors have been banged up throughout the season and Curry’s now added to the list as he’s being reevaluated in 2 weeks after the Celtics game. With Curry not on the court for the next couple of weeks, it’s time to showcase some of his best Under Armour Curry PEs that he’s rocked on the court this season. Under Armour has done an amazing job with the Curry 9 colorways this season the problem is they’ve just been very hard to get your hands on a pair.

Below are the Honorable Mentions that didn’t make the Player Exclusive cut because they were released to the public. Stephen Curry has been in his bag and I’m glad that Under Armour released some of these to the public instead of just keeping them PEs.

UA & Steph have released a “Sesame Street” collab as well. So far we’ve got Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Count von Count, and Oscar The Grouch. The Elmo, Abby Cadabby, and Lily the Tiger are rumored to be released in June of 2022.

Donovan Mitchell, Utah Jazz (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Donovan Mitchell, Utah Jazz (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Featured

Donovan Mitchell has made a name for himself in the NBA with his leadership, athleticism, and killer instinct on the court. One thing that has been lost in the sauce is the fact that he’s a walking bucket. This season on the Utah Jazz Spida is averaging 25.5 PPG and a career-best 5.4 APG as well. Donovan goes out there every night and puts the Utah Jazz on his back and puts opponents on posters.

The growth of Donovan Mitchell as a scorer has been on full display and the only thing stopping him from achieving greatness would be himself. There’s nothing better than having a franchise that believes in you and Mitchell has carved his name with the greats in Jazz history without hitting his prime yet. The Utah Jazz has gone 6-3 since All-Star Weekend with Donovan averaging 24 PPG and is positioned in 4th place in the Western Conference right now.

I’ve been a true fan of the Adidas D.O.N. Series, especially with some of the amazing collaborations. This season Spida has donned some of the best D.O.N. Issue #3 PEs we’ve seen from him since having a signature sneaker. The D.O.N. Issue #3 has been a great sneaker on the court and this season Donovan has been able to get in his PE bag a little more than with his past models.

This PE series list was tough because Spida had a lot of freedom this season with colorways he’s rocked so far. This is a Top 10 PE list so we had to stay true to the theme and ride with the pairs displayed below. One thing that makes Donovan Mitchell stand out from other athletes with their sneakers is the fact that some of his big theme colorways like (Bel-Air, Monsters INC, Louisville, & Lego) were made available to the public which I love.

Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Featured

Jayson Tatum has been going off since the NBA All-Star Break averaging 34 ppg. The Celtics are 5-1 on that stretch as JT has the Celtics in 5th place in the Eastern Conference right now. It’s been impressive watching Jayson Tatum put on a show all season but he’s coming into his own as a true leader as well. Tatum has a jumper that’s smoother than some ice and when he gets it going he looks unstoppable. If the Celtics are going to make a deep run in the NBA Playoffs it will be on the back of Jayson Tatum and his play. This Celtics team is shaping up to be special and it seems as though Coach Udoka has them balling at an elite level now.

JT rocked some of the hottest colorways since joining Jordan Brand back in 2019. This season the  Air Jordan 36 has been the go-to sneaker for Boston Celtics All-Star Jayson Tatum. JT has proved that he can get it done on the court and with that hard work comes amazing PEs that Jordan Brand allows you to make. You don’t have to look too far to see what Tatum is rocking because the majority of his sneakers will feature “Duece” his son on it somewhere. The Air Jordan 36 has brought him a lot of success especially coming off his season-high 54 points against Brooklyn yesterday in Beantown. Check out his highlights from yesterday’s 54 performance as he rocked an all-white pair of the Air Jordan 36 that we will name “The 54 Points”.
