Jordan brand is set to release the Air Jordan 37 “Hare” which takes design inspiration from the Air Jordan 7. More colorways are expected to release following the “Hare” Air Jordan 37 colorway.

The Air Jordan 37 features Formula 23 cushioning, double-stacked Air Zoom unit in the forefoot region, a midfoot carbon fiber plate for lateral protection and a lightweight upper made out of a new technology called Lenoweave. The outsole and tongue design take inspiration from the Air Jordan 7. This white and red colorway with hints of multicolor on the tounge and outsole is inspired by the Air Jordan 7 OG “Hare” which originally released back in 1992.

The Air Jordan 37 “Hare” colorway is expected to release at certain shoe retailers and on the Nike website on September 29 with a retail price of $185 USD.

Zion Williamson, New Orleans Pelicans (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Zion Williamson, New Orleans Pelicans (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Featured

Zion Williamson came into the league and took the NBA by storm. He’s shown glimpses of his greatness and what he can do when he’s available to play for the Pelicans. In 24 games during the 2019 season, Zion averaged 22.5 PPG and 6.2 RPG. It was a sample size of what Zion’s capable of doing but it kept the Pelicans fans excited for the future. Everyone was hyped about Zion’s dunking ability and how crazy his hops are when he came out of Duke. Zion showed that he could be a dominant presence in the paint and even showcased his ability to knock down jumpers. Zion put on a show in a limited time frame but it got New Orleans buzzing for the future. In the 2020 season, Zion played in 61 games and averaged 27 PPG/7.2 RPG. Zion showed a lot of promise and continued to take that next step and he was even selected for the NBA All-Star Game.

The one issue with Zion has been his availability on the court because he’s been derailed by injuries. Zion’s been banged up with ankle, knee, toe, and hand issues that have had him sidelined. The New Orleans Pelicans played it safe with Zion in the 2021-2022 season as they sat him down for conditioning reasons. Zion Williamson let it be known that New Orleans is where he wants to be and they rewarded him. For Zion’s 22nd birthday the Pelicans gave him a 5yr/$231 Million as they are ready to see Zion/CJ/Ingram in 2022-2023.

It was a true bidding war to get Zion Williamson to sign a shoe deal when he came into the NBA. It was Jordan Brand that gave him the lucrative bag to represent him on the court. In his 1st two years in the NBA Zion wore the Jordan 34 and Jordan 35 before getting his own sneaker. Jordan Brand gave Zion his own shoe “The Jordan Zion 1” and it was built for his bounce/bulk. Below we showcased some of the best PEs that he rocked on the court during those years and this should get y’all excited for the upcoming season.

Best Sneakers At 2K23 NBA Summer League (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Best Sneakers At 2K23 NBA Summer League (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Featured

The NBA Summer League allows us to see all the new talent drafted into the NBA. We saw the first five picks (Paolo Banchero, Chet Holmgren, Jabari Smith, Keegan Murray, and Jaden Ivey) in action. This was one of the most exciting Summer League off-season’s in a while, and many of the NBA Stars came out to witness it. The NBA’s in good hands for the present and the future as the talent was on display.

A lot of the marque rookies that everyone wanted to see did play but in limited games. The players that put on a show at the Summer League this summer were Cam Thomas, Quentin Grimes, and Keegan Murray. They were the Top 3 scorers during Summer League and put on a show. Cam Thomas averaged 27.4 PPG for the Brooklyn Nets and showcased a lot of growth/maturity in his game. Quentin Grimes was averaging 23.5 PPG for the New York Knicks squad and was able to show all the Knicks fans what they had been waiting to see from the sophomore. Keegan Murray came to the Summer League to let it be known he’s a walking bucket averaging 23.3 PPG.

There was a lot of heat on the court during the NBA 2K23 Summer League. A lot of the players either have a sneaker deal or haven’t signed on the dotted line yet. Nike Basketball was well represented on the court and there was no lack of Kobes out there too. This SneakerReporter Top 10 list isn’t about PEs but it’s about the quality of heat that we saw out there from players grinding to make a name for themselves.

LeBron James & DeMar DeRozan Shut Down The Drew League Pro-AM

LeBron James & DeMar DeRozan Shut Down The Drew League Pro-AM

Featured

The Drew League Pro-Am has been a special place for basketball players throughout the years. DeMar DeRozan has been a constant member of the Pro-Am and this year he brought out LeBron James. This was the first time LeBron James has played in the Drew League Pro-Am since 2011. When LeBron showed up in 2011 he dominated and let it be known he didn’t mind going against any baller that stepped up to him.

Last season everyone wanted to see LeBron James and DeMar DeRozan on the Los Angles Lakers. For this brief moment, everyone was able to see what those two would look like on the same team/same court. Both LeBron and DeMar didn’t disappoint as the crowd was on the edge of their seats from the beginning tip to the ending buzzer. This was a huge legacy builder for LeBron in LA and his return to the Drew League Pro-Am even shut down the NBA App. LeBron James put on a show as he was able to put up 42 points and 16 rebounds in a win. It didn’t matter who was in front of LeBron they were going to get that work. LeBron put all the moves he’s been working on lately with Chris Brinkley into action against the opposing team. It didn’t help that LeBron’s team name was the “Cheaters” and with the addition of DeMar DeRozan that was definitely clear. Every LeBron dunk got the crowd hyped and he lived up to the hype with every point.

Demar DeRozan came to play as usual when it comes to the Drew League. Deebo came out and made it clear that he’s a walking bucket. DeMar DeRozan was hitting his mid-range jumper with ease and was scoring with these. It was a shame seeing what this duo could have been if they were on the Lakers. DeMar was able to finish the game with 30 points and 14 rebounds. Some guy even tried to fight with DeMar during the game as well but all that did was get his game going.

LeBron James used the Drew League platform to debut the Nike LeBron 20. We all have been waiting to see some more clear pictures of the silhouette and they are FIREEEEEE. Check out some of the up-close pictures and more pics from the Drew League Pro-Am yesterday.

Josh Giddey, Oklahoma City Thunder (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Josh Giddey, Oklahoma City Thunder (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Featured

Josh Giddey’s one of the NBA’s upcoming stars and he’s been able to put everyone outside of OKC on notice. He is coming off a fantastic rookie season where he showcased precisely why the Thunder drafted him. In his rookie season, Josh Giddey averaged 12.5 PPG, 7.8 REB, and 6.4 APG. Giddey did those types of numbers as a rookie but also only in 54 games out of 82.

The thing that bothered me & Josh Giddey was the fact he wasn’t All NBA Rookie 1st Team. I’m trying to figure out how you win Rookie of the Month four months in a row and make the 2nd team. Near the end of his rookie campaign, he was banged up by injury but still deserved to be on that 1st Team. Josh Giddey’s using this as motivation and fuel as he’s ready to take that next step in his sophomore year.

Josh Giddey has a crazy handle and his basketball court vision is unreal. Some of the basketball plays that he makes on a nightly basis look like he’s a 7-year pro. Giddey gets his teammates involved and he also can score when it’s needed. Everyone raves about how great of a teammate he is on and off the court.

Another thing that people rave about is his sneaker game. Josh Giddey has been rocking Kobe’s heavy and it ranges from the Kobe 4 to the Kobe 11. Giddey has a versatile sneaker game and in this SneakerReporter Top 10 PE we will be showcasing some of the crazy PE heat he’s worn on the court this season. Josh Giddey already warned me that he’s coming with crazy heat in the 2022-2023 season as well.
