After seeing the only other undefeated team in the league (New England Patriots) make a move for Mohamed Sanu–a player they coveted as well–the San Francisco 49ers made a move of their own and acquired wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders and a fifth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft in exchange for a third and fourth-round pick in the same draft.
And another trade:
Denver is dealing WR Emmanuel Sanders and a 2020 5th-round pick to San Francisco in exchange for 2020 3rd- and 4th-round picks, per league sources.
First Mohamed Sanu, now Sanders….

Kyle Shanahan has helped create the best running game in the league this year but they have been lacking on the outside. Dante Pettis came on strong at the end of last year but has yet to reciprocate that yet. Deebo Samuel is a rookie and playing like it. Tight end George Kittle was Jimmy Garoppolo’s best target before this move.
The Denver Broncos had hired away former San Francisco quarterback coach Rich Scangarello to be their offensive coordinator so the transition to his new team might not be as complicated as usually is the case when moves of this nature are made.
Their season wasn’t going as expected so they decided to begin selling off pieces that likely weren’t going to stay around Denver for the long haul.
The Niners have surprised some with their strong start and this deal only makes them a better team for this season.
The 49ers are 6-0 and soon will be receiving the services of:
• WR Emmanuel Sanders
• LT Joe Staley
• RT Mike McGlinchey
• FB Kyle Juszczyk— Warren Sharp (@SharpFootball) October 22, 2019
