The Minnesota Timberwolves came in to Charlotte, knowing that they would be playing without Anthony Edwards as he’s nursing her hip pointer. With that being said, Karl-Anthony Towns, Mike Conley, and Rudy Gobert being the veterans on the team, would have to step it up. There’s a lot of opportunity for the team to grow with Anthony Edwards out and that will only help the rotation, even more when he gets back.

The Minnesota Timberwolves were able to establish themselves in the half court defense against the Charlotte Hornets. It was the fast break points that will give him the Minnesota Timberwolves a hard time in this game. Players like Terry Rozier and Miles Bridges were able to get whatever they needed and wanted in transition against the Timberwolves in that first half. It didn’t help that Karl-Anthony towns got into foul trouble as he picked up three huge fouls that had Coach Chris Finch go to Naz Reid early in this one. Naz Reid was instant offense tonight, as he did everything inside and outside against the Charlotte Hornets to the point he was able to exploit mismatches. Naz finished with 23 points, five rebounds and 2 assists. When Naz is playing like he did tonight this Timberwolves team is really hard to beat. Karl-Anthony Towns finished with 28 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists as he was able to keep the Timberwolves in this game with his scoring and leadership.

When the Hornets went on some runs it was KAT that was able to come back in the game and put a stop to that asap. Rudy Gobert was a beast in the paint tonight as he was able to score 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds tonight. Rudy had 8 dunks tonight making that the most he’s ever had with the Timberwolves but his defense is where he shined tonight. He was blocking shots left and right while being a true defensive anchor. The Hornets didn’t have an answer for Rudy down low as he had his way with Mark Williams.

Terry Rozier got hot in this game and he was able to make some tough baskets in this one to keep the Hornets alive. Rozier has been on a tear since coming back from his injury and he put on a show for the home crowd but it wasn’t enough to get the win. Rozier finished with 23 points and Miles Bridges finished with 22 points tonight.

Up Next, the Minnesota Timberwolves play against the San Antonio Spurs and Victor Wembanyama. It should be a great game in Minnesota as the Timberwolves will look to improve to 16-4 in front of the home crowd.

The Minnesota Timberwolves came into tonight‘s game, undefeated at home and undefeated in the (In Season) tournament. Tonight they were going to go to the Sacramento Kings a team that is hungry just like Minnesota and has a chance to take the next step.

The beginning of this game was not a game that the Minnesota Timberwolves fans wanted to watch as the Sacramento Kings were hitting every single three pointer it look like in the first half. The kings were able to find the open man in the corners and the ball movement had the Minnesota Timberwolves swarming on the defensive end, but it was too late. Post game Anthony Edwards said that the Timberwolves haven’t played a team with that much pace all season long. The Kings came out and punch them in the mouth first but the Minnesota Timberwolves were able to punch back.

Anthony Edwards stepped up big time for the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight as he finish the game with 35 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. It was a Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns with his 27 points and 11 rebounds who are able to keep Minnesota Timberwolves in this game tonight scoring wise. But it was the play of Troy Brown Jr. that really got the Timberwolves back in this game after being down by more than 20 points. Brown Jr. was able to hit some corner shots that were clutch and he was able to hustle for the ball on both ends of the floor for the team. The Timberwolves cut it down to two points in the game as the comeback was almost complete. That’s when the Sacramento Kings All-Star De’Aaron Fox showed up and showed out.

De’Aaron Fox finished with it 36 points and 12 assists on the night as he was able to will the Sacramento Kings to victory. Fox is extremely tough to slow down in transition and he was able to make the Minnesota Timberwolves pay with his passing ability and mid range jumper. Fox was hitting some tough shots tonight as the Timberwolves tried to put multiple defenders on them to slow them down, but it was too late. It seem like every single time the Minnesota Timberwolves were mounting a come back that’s win Fox and Sabonis showed up the most.

The Minnesota Timberwolves fell short tonight, but they showed some fight and they were able to continue to plug away but it just was too late. The Timberwolves will have another chance to get back in the win column on Sunday as they travel to Memphis to play the grizzlies.

The New Orleans pelicans came in today’s game, knowing that they would be playing without CJ, McCollum and Zion Williamson who was out with rest for tonight’s matchup.

That didn’t matter as the pelicans still had Brandon Ingram, who has been lights out so far in the NBA season. Ingraham was able to set the time for the New Orleans pelicans tonight on the scoring end. Brandon Ingram made some tough shots with Jaden McDaniels and Anthony Edwards draped all over him. Brandon Ingram is a professional score and he was able to get to a spot tonight against the Timberwolves as he finished with 30 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. Brandon Ingram was able to get some of the best defenders on the Timberwolves in foul trouble tonight which kept the game very close overall in the Pelicans favor.

Jonas Valanciunas had a huge night inside the paint as he finished with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Jonas had to step up and help Brandon Ingram tonight as they were shorthanded, and it almost worked out for the pelicans. Inside the pelicans, we’re trying to make a tough on Rudy Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns but in the end, the Timberwolves were too much to handle.

Karl-Anthony Towns showed up in a major way tonight when Anthony Edwards got in foul trouble. Karl-Anthony Towns had his game working inside and outside as he continues to prove why he’s the best shooting big man in the entire NBA. Karl-Anthony Towns has put the Minnesota Timberwolves on his back during the in season tournament and that has led this team to a (9-3) start.

The New Orleans Pelicans had no answers for Karl-Anthony Towns inside the paint or outside as he was able to exploit the mismatches when Daniel’s or Jones were on him. The Timberwolves trailed by 15 points tonight and were able to claw back on the strength of their defense. Rudy Gobert made it tough for people going inside the paint tonight and he was able to finish with 17 points and 11 rebounds. It’s safe to say that Rudy Gobert loves to play the New Orleans Pelicans. Anthony Edwards finish the game with 23 points fouled out guarding Brandon Ingram.

this game came down to 10 seconds, where Karl-Anthony Towns had to play drawing up for him and he delivered. Towns got the mismatch that he wanted and was able to drive to the basket and kiss it off the glass. We Karl-Anthony Towns plays at this elite level it is hard for anyone to stop him or this Timberwolves team. Up next, the Timberwolves will be playing at home against the New York Knicks as they try to go (10-3) on the season.
