Top 15 Kicks Worn During Week 13 of NBA Season

Featured

Week 13 in the NBA was packed with heat on the court. Lebron James is still at it, hurting feelings wearing colorways of current and past models that the public has no chance of getting their hands on. Kyrie Irving is back in action and sporting some never-before-seen P.E.’s of his sixth model. The Jordan XXXIV’s are seeing more and more P.E. mock-ups hit the hardwood in what are most of the time met with fanfare. Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to wear sleek iterations of his first signature sneaker.

In surprising fashion only two Kobe models made our Top 15 countdown this week, largely in part due to Lebron James, Kyrie Irving, and Jordan Brand athletes all rocking heat in the same week. A brand new Nike basketball model was debuted by one of Nike’s budding young superstars. Martin Luther King Jr. day brought out some past Nike “BHM” hits as well as some meaningful customs. Will P.J. Tucker take home the top spot this week or did Lebron James wear an unreleased colorway that was just too good to ignore? Find out below in our Week 13 countdown.

Week 12’s Top 15 Kicks Worn on Court was riddled with Kobe signature models. Lebron James debuted a polarizing XVII colorway inspired by his “I Promise” school. Russell Westbrook returned to Oklahoma City for the first time since being traded this past off season. Both Westbrook and Harden rocked ‘OKC’ themed color schemes in their respective signature sneakers to pay homage to the team and city that housed them during their young careers. DeMar DeRozan also returned to his old Raptors home and rocked some Toronto colored red/black Kobe P.E.’s.

We didn’t think it was possible for P.J. Tucker to out-do his Jordan 4 “Wahlburgers” when it comes to on court wearing and rarity of the shoe. Not only did Tucker surpass that, he rocked a sneaker most people have never even seen before and that no other NBA player has a chance of getting their hands on (besides KD). Let’s just put it this way, you can find the Jordan 4 “Wahlburgers” on StockX and eBay – what P.J. Tucker wore this past week will most likely never make it on any of those selling platforms. With that being said, look below to see what exactly P.J. Tucker wore that was so rare and to also see who came in second behind him.

15. Jordan Melo 5.5 “CNY” P.E. – Carmelo Anthony – Portland Trail Blazers

14. Nike Lebron 9 “Cannon” – Naz Reid – Minnesota Timberwolves

13. Adidas Harden Vol. 4 “OKC” P.E. – James Harden – Houston Rockets

Week 11 in the NBA was all over the place – when it came to what players had on their feet. Signature debuts, exclusive P.E.’s, custom sneakers of classic shows/movies, new colorways of new signature sneakers and classic signature shoes to round it off. We are officially 10 weeks into the NBA season. Christmas Day games have come and gone and the new year is just a couple days away. Custom sneakers ruled this year’s Christmas week games as Nike and Adidas did not have any official Christmas pack release for 2019. The top sneakerheads in the league are having to get more and more creative with their shoes of choice if they don’t want to repeat pairs they’ve already worn on court.

The next wave of Kobe Protros has arrived, this time being the Kobe 5. Lebron James continues to mix old and new; wearing his 17th signature a majority of the time, sprinkled in with a few wears of his older models like the Air Zoom Generation, III’s, VII’s, etc. P.J. Tucker still is a force that cannot be touched when it comes to wearing kicks on court. What $15,000 shoe did P.J. wear on court this past week? What two college player exclusive’s made our list for week 10? Can anyone compete with Pistons guard Langston Galloway when it comes to custom sneakers? Top 10 Christmas Themed Basketball Sneakers

Top 10 Christmas Themed Basketball Sneakers

Featured

Believe it or not, there was a time just a handful of years ago when basketball sneakers (particularly Nike) were king in the re-sell market. It seemed like release after release would sell out and then immediately fetch a $300 – $500 price tag. Whether it be the Lebron line, KD line, Kobe signatures, etc – Nike basketball was the definition of hype. With all of that hype, Nike (and other brands), made it a point to make special colorways each winter to be worn on Christmas Day and then released to the public soon after. The Swoosh had a good 5-year run of Christmas themed basketball packs, headlined usually by the Lebron, Kobe, KD, and (later) Kyrie line.

For the last few years Nike and other sneaker brands have not released Christmas specific shoes for the holiday. The hype is no longer with signature basketball sneakers like it was 4-5 years ago. Instead, athletes (for the most part) have just been debuting new colorways of their respective signature models on the 25th. Should brands like Nike and Adidas bring back their Christmas releases? We compiled a list of the Top 10 Christmas Themed Basketball sneakers. The only criteria for our list was that the shoe had to be an actual colorway that released at retail (not a custom), be a basketball sneaker (sorry ‘Ugly Sweater’ SB’s), and have an apparent Christmas theme to them (red & green, movie related, mint green, snow, decoration inspired, etc.). Look below to see which athletes have the best Christmas themed shoes.
