Was Aleister Black Written Off WWE Raw?

Was Aleister Black Written Off WWE Raw?

Featured

This week on Raw showed Aleister Black being attacked by Seth Rollins and Murphy after coming to Dominick’s aid. This attack resulted in Murphy targeting the eye of Aleister Black, pressing it against the sharp corner of the steel steps after being instructed to do so by Seth Rollins. After this angle on Aleister Black, many reports had speculated he had been written off television due to Vince McMahon giving up on him. However, with so many superstars not being able to compete on Raw for different reasons, this may not be the case.

Alex McCarthy of Talksport reported that Vince is a huge fan of the performer and Tom Budgen’s (Aleister Black) size, agility, and skill. However, it is essential to note in that report that Alex McCarthy didn’t mention Tom Budgen’s character, Aleister Black. Alex McCarthy also said that “[Vince] is worried the character is a gimmick and will limit him.” It is also in much speculation that Aleister Black may be only written off of television for a little while, with Vince planning to develop a new character for him. Aleister Black may be looking to face Seth Rollins at Summer Slam in a rival that may not be ending any time soon. The question is, will this rival give Aleister Black the much deserve push that he needs? Or will Seth Rollins continue his dominance?

Aleister Black debuted at NXT TakeOver on March 29, 2017. In one-on-one competition, Aleister Black went undefeated for over a year before winning the NXT Championship at TakeOver: New Orleans. Aleister Black later debuted on Raw against Elias on February 18, 2019.

WWE RE-LAUNCHING 90’s FACTION?

WWE RE-LAUNCHING 90’s FACTION?

Featured

In the past few Raw episodes, MVP and Bobby Lashley have partnered together, creating a new stable named “The Hurt Business.” The recent episode on Raw showed this stable branching out, adding a new member, the 24/7 Champion Shelton Benjamin.

In this week’s episode on Raw, WWE Hall of Famer Ron Simmons was seen in a segment backstage chatting with MVP and Bobby Lashley. Dave Meltzer later mentioned on Wrestling Observer Radio, the plans for relaunching the 90’s Faction, the Nation of Domination, or creating a faction similar to it.

“There was an idea; I don’t know if it was dropped. Originally, it was going to be on the show for a revamping of The Nation of Domination, and Ron Simmons was going to be a part of that angle, but they dropped that angle for this show. They may be building to it later, they may have dropped it completely, but they had brought him in for that angle. So, therefore, that is why he was on television.” Dave Meltzer

The Nation of Domination (NOD) was a faction in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), which is now known as World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) from 1996 to 1998.

The group was formed by Faarooq (Ron Simmons) in 1996. In the late 1997/early 1998 incarnation of the Nation, NOD group members consisted of Kama Mustafa, who was later known as The Godfather, Faarooq, The Rock, and D’Lo Brown. The Nation then betrayed Faarooq with The Rock emerging as the Nation’s new leader adding Mark Henry and Owen Hart.

Jaden Smith x New Balance Vision Racer Release Details

Featured

Jaden Smith is a multifaceted and undeniably talented human. Jaden’s music, fashion sense and philanthropic efforts make him one of the foremost purveyors of the zeitgeist. His forward thinking personality is one of the multitude of reasons New Balance chose Jaden as one of their latest collaborators. The New Balance Vision Racer is a melding Smith’s favorite New Balance models the New Balance X-Racer and the New Balance 1700.

The main draw of the Vision Racer is the chunky exaggerated midsole drawn from the X-Racer. While the midsole is the draw, the details of the Vision Racer don’t get lost in the sauce. The translucent outsole underneath the shoe’s rectangular midsole features a ((VISION)) detail as a nod to the rapper’s SYRE and ERYS albums. ((VISION)) is also found wrapping around the shoe’s foxing showing there are no details too small for the vanguard designers. Dressed in “Wavy Baby Blue” the Vision Racer is already eye-catching enough but the shine doesn’t end there. Reflective hints are found throughout the silhouette including on the tongue webbing, upper piping, and the iconic N found on the quarter panel.

The Vision Racer isn’t just a representation of Jaden’s fashionable tastes, it also affirms Jaden’s commitment to sustainability. The shoe’s chunky midsole includes reground EVA foam. The Vision Racer is constructed of 60% recycled polyester from post-consumer plastic. Even the insoles are a product of circular design combining recycled foam, castor bean oil, and rubber with virgin polyurethane.

The Jaden Smith x New Balance Vision Racer releases on July 24th on the New Balance webstore for $150.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Joins the Converse Family

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Joins the Converse Family

Featured

In their heyday, Converse was a basketball powerhouse. Top basketball stars like Dr. J, Larry Bird, and Magic Johnson donned the Converse Weapon during their legendary tenures making it one of the most popular shoes of all time. Throughout the years, Converse had bright spots on the basketball court including Larry Johnson’s Aero Jam in 1993 and D-Wade’s signature line before his departure to Jordan Brand.

Though Converse’s star on the court may have dimmed a bit in subsequent years, the brand has been retooling their basketball line and the signature athletes supporting them. Since dropping models like the All-Star Pro BB and the Converse G4, the One Star has added All-Star and champion Draymond Green, burgeoning forward Kelly Oubre Jr., and WNBA star Natasha Cloud. Now,  Converse has added even more talent and depth to their growing roster by adding the Oklahoma City Thunder’s rising star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Since his college days under John Calipari in Kentucky, the Toronto, Canada native has shown the tools to do it all. In his rookie season with the Los Angeles Clippers, SGA put the world on notice with a breakout series in the playoffs against the Warriors. Following a trade to the Oklahoma City Thunder as a piece of the monumental Paul George trade, Gilgeous-Alexander has continued to improve, becoming the youngest player to accrue a 20-20-10 stat line.

It isn’t just SGA’s crafty game and two-way ability that make him the perfect fit for Converse, either. SGA has emerged as one of the league’s most fashionable talents alongside fellow Converse compatriot Kelly Oubre Jr. After seeing Oubre’s recent release, it is clear that Converse is giving the power to the players to take advantage of their fashionable flair and creativity to bring a new edge to the court.

With Oubre being sidelined and Draymond’s Warriors missing out on the NBA’s return in Orlando, Gilgeous-Alexander will step on the court as Converse’s only on-court representative.  In his announcement, SGA can be seen with the legendary Pro Leather draped over his shoulder which is more of an off-court look and in a custom OKC Thunder colorway of the low All-Star Pro BB, just the first in the “many flavors to come” he teased on his Instagram Story. With SGA joining the team, Converse Basketball is in great hands.
