Aleali May x Air Jordan 1 Zoom Comfort “Califia” Set to Release April 22nd

Jordan Brand and Aleali May have come together again to release a third Air Jordan 1 collaboration, May will be in extremely rare territory teaming with the brand for a fourth time. This upcoming collaboration will use the Air Jordan 1 Zoom Comfort model.

Following the product images that surfaced earlier this year, the sneaker has been dubbed “Califia”, referencing the Black queen who potentially influenced the naming of her home state, California. The design pays homage to May’s experiences in the drill team during middle school and high school, which was the time when she first fell in love with streetwear and varsity style.

Sporting a green and royal blue color blocking, the sporty varsity jacket aesthetic carries over in the form of an inner bootie that also extends to fill in Swoosh cutouts on the sides. Chenille detail can be found on the Wings logos a callback to one of her previous release. A circular ‘A’ emblem on the tongue and facsimile signature on the left heel officially mark Aleali’s work on the iconic model. A White midsole atop a Green and Yellow rubber outsole completes the design.
