SneakerReporter NFL Week 7: Scores and Predictions
FeaturedIndianapolis Colts (3-3) vs Cleveland Browns (3-2)
The Colts lost last week to the Jaguars 37-20 in a game where Quarterback Gardner Minshew passed for 329 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions.
The Browns are coming off a nail biting win against the 49ers, in a game that the Browns didn’t have Deshaun Watson as he still recovers from a shoulder injury.
The Colts ruled out rookie Quarterback Anthony Richardson for the season after needing shoulder surgery. The positive take for the season is that star running back Jonathan Taylor resigned for multiple years, but the big issue is going to be the quarterback position for the rest of the season.
Cleveland is hoping to have Watson back this week after PJ Walker passed for 192 yards and two interceptions in the win over the 49ers. The defensive side won the Browns last game and they won’t have to worry too much about the Colts airing the ball out.
Score Prediction: Colts 10 – Browns 23
New England Patriots (1-5) vs Buffalo Bills (4-2)
The Bills are coming off an ugly win against the struggling Giants. The struggles for Mac Jones continue as they lose another close game last week to the Raiders.
Mac Jones only passed for 200 yards and one interception. As the running attack was in full effect as Rhamondre Stevenson and Ezekiel Elliot were able to contribute a combined two touchdowns.
Josh Allen only passed for 169 yards two touchdowns and one interception last week in a game that the Giants lost on the last play that fell incomplete.
Score Prediction: Bills 28 – Patriots 13
New York Giants (1-5) vs Washington Commanders (3-3)
The Giants’ struggles continued as they lost by five to the Bills on a last play from the one yard line that fell incomplete.
The Commanders are coming off a win against the Falcons last week in a game that Sam Howell passed for three touchdowns.
Tyrod Taylor filled in for a hurt Daniel Jones last week he passed for 200 yards but had no touchdowns. Saquon Barkley had 94 yards on 24 attempts last week as he looks to get back into groove after coming back from another injury. If a loss this weekend you would have to expect that this season will be over for the Giants.
Sam Howell had a near perfect game last week against the Falcons 151 yards and three touchdowns against the Falcons. The Commanders defense forced three interceptions last week, and should expect many opportunities to have some takeaways this week against the Giants.
Score Prediction: Giants 13 – Commanders 27
Baltimore Ravens (4-2) vs Detroit Lions (5-1)
The Lions are 5-1 for the first time since 2011. Are they a team to fear in the NFC? They are by far the front runners to win the NFC North this year after week 6.The Ravens are coming back from their game against the Titans in London.
Lamar passed for 233 yards on 30 attempts for one touchdown and one interception. The Ravens forced two turnovers last week in the win against the Titans. The offense side of the ball is slowly getting healthy in hopes to make a playoff push.
Are the Lions legit this year…? Well it sure looks like it, that trade with the Rams a few seasons ago made some people scratch their heads but statistically the trade has worked out for both teams. The Lions won last week 20-6 against Tampa Bay. Jared Goff passed for 353 yards on 44 attempts with two touchdowns. The Lions will be without David Montegomery as he is dealing with a rib injury. Amon-Ra St. Brown had 124 yards on 12 receptions last week. This group is exciting to watch this year and hard to rout against.
Score Prediction Ravens 17 – Lions 24
Chicago Bears (1-5) vs Las Vegas Raiders (3-3)
Both teams will be without their starting Quarterbacks. The Bears lost last week against the Vikings in a one possession game that caused Justin Fields to hurt his hand. The Raiders won last week against the struggling Patriots, but it cost themselves Jimmy Garrapolo that hurt his back. This game could get boring quick and the special teams and defenses will be worn out after this game.
The Bears are sending out rookie Tyson Bagent as the starting Quarterback, the Bears may need to lean on the running game this week against the Raiders. In the game last week Bagent passed for only 83 yards on 10/14 passing but with one interception and one fumble.
Brian Hoyer will be the starting Quarterback this week against the Bears. The Raiders defense could have a field day going against the rookie for the Bears. Brian Hoyer only passed for 102 yards on 6/10 passing after Jimmy Garoppolo went out with a back injury.
Score Prediction Bears 10 – Raiders 13
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-2) vs Atlanta Falcons (3-3)
Both teams are coming off losses last week, the Falcons lost a one possession game as the Bucs lost by 14 to the Lions.
Kyle Pitts finally got his name called as he got into the endzone for the first time this season. Desmond Ridder had a sloppy day as he passed for 307 yards two touchdowns and three interceptions on 28/47 passing. The Bucs defense thrives off sloppy plays from the opposing offenses so if the Falcons want to stay in this game they will need to clean it up this week.
Baker is human? The Lions held Baker to 206 yards and one interception on 19/37 passing last week in the loss to the Lions. If the Bucs want to come out with a win this week they will need Baker to make simple and easy reads no hero plays.
Score Prediction Falcons 13 – Buccaneers 17
Los Angeles Rams (3-3) Vs Pittsburgh Steelers (3-2)
The Rams are coming off a blowout win against the Cardinals as the Steelers are coming off a bye week. The last matchup was in 2019 in a game that the Steelers won.
Matthew Stafford continues his impressive play since coming to LA in that trade with the Lions a few years back, he passed for 226 yards and one touchdown last week. Kyren Williams will be out this week after putting up 158 yards on 20 rushes with a touchdown, Cooper Kupp also accounted for 148 yards on 7 receptions.
The Steelers should be rested after coming off a bye week. In the last game they won against the Ravens. In that game George Pickens had 130 yards and one touchdown on 6 receptions. And forced 3 turnovers in the win.
Score Prediction: Rams 21 – Steelers 16
Seattle Seahawks (3-2) vs Arizona Cardinals (1-5)
Both teams are coming off losses as the Seahawks lost to the Bengals 17-13 and the Cardinals lost to the Rams 26-9. Seattle did a good job keeping Joe Burrow out of the endzone until the second half of the game last week.
Seattle is trying to stay afloat in the NFC West and need to win to keep up with the 49ers. Geno Smith passed for 326 yards on 27/41 passing but had two interceptions and zero touchdowns. Kenneth Walker had 62 yards on 19 carries and one touchdown. The offense and defense will both look to shine against the tanking Cardinals.
Arizona is just trying to get Kyler Murray back but will most likely not make a big enough impact to change the season and will still be trying to get a high draft pick in this coming draft. Josh Dobbs is trying to keep his NFL career alive and with his play this year he will find a spot as a backup next year. He passed for 235 yards on 21/41 passing with one interception.
Score Prediction: Seahawks 21 – Cardinals 9
Denver Broncos (1-5) vs Green Bay Packers (2-3)
Denver is coming off an ugly loss to the Chiefs last week, in a game that Russell Wilson struggled a lot in. Green Bay is coming off a bye week that they’re trying to recover from the loss to the Raiders in their last game played.
Will the Broncos finally give up on the Russell Wilson experiment or will they ride him out the rest of the year? Wilson only passed for 95 yards on 13/22 passing but only threw one touchdown and two interceptions. The defense came to play last week but the offense failed to show up for the whole team.
In the last game that the Packers played they would hope to forget after Jordan Love passed for 182 yards and three interceptions in the loss to the Raiders. The Packers offensive struggles will hopefully get out of their slump against a struggling Broncos group.
Score Prediction: Broncos 12 – Packers 17
Kansas City Chiefs (5-1) vs Los Angeles Chargers (2-3)
The Chiefs are coming off a sloppy win against the Broncos in last week’s matchup and as for the Chargers they are coming off a nail biting loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
Mahomes and the offensive struggles continue as Mahomes only threw one touchdown and one interception along with 306 yards on 40 attempts last week. The sloppy ball control has been an issue this year and won’t be any easier against a tough defense that the Chargers have.
Justin Herbert passed for 227 yards with two touchdowns and one interceptions on 37 attempts in the loss to the Cowboys last week, you would think having Ekeler back in the lineup the Chargers would be moving the ball easily down the field as Ekeler one accounted for 62 total yards. Keenan Allen has looked amazing this year having 85 yards with one touchdown on 7 receptions, if he could stay healthy he could be the dark horse that could give the Chargers that extra push come the playoffs.
Score Prediction Chiefs 27 – Chargers 30
