A new Puma MB.02 colorway has surfaced, this colorway is supposedly being called the “Galaxy” MB.02.

A lot to unpack here but the MB.02 features a galaxy print on the upper of the shoe, a slimed puma logo, hints of purple, pink and green along the upper as well. There is an iridescent backtab, multicolor outsole along with a cheetah print on the outsole as well. Both shoes are mismatched with different types of colors making it a unique colorway.

No official release date has yet to be released but expect it to be hitting retail stores soon, maybe during the 2023 NBA All Star Weekend.

The Correa Carrousel Continues: Star Switches Again, Sign with Twins

The Correa Carrousel Continues: Star Switches Again, Sign with Twins

Featured

Two time All-Star shortstop Carlos Correa and the Minnesota Twins are finalizing a six-year, $200 million contract, pending a physical, after weeks of discussion to finalize a deal with the New York Mets broke down, sources familiar with the situation told ESPN.

This free agency has been an absolute whirlwind for Correa. He originally agreed to a 13-year, $350 million contract with the San Francisco Giants on December 13th. The Giants raised concerns about Correa’s surgically repaired right leg, which caused him to reconsider his decision.  He pivoted quickly and signed a 12-year, $315 million contract with the Mets. The Mets had similar concerns and flagged his physical as well. Any efforts to amend the deal fell apart. This lead to Correa reopening talks with other teams and now he is returning to Minnesota, where he signed after a wild offseason last year as well.

The deal includes a vesting option that can add another four years to the deal, making it a 10-year deal. the contract will become official if Correa passes a medical review, which is expected to begin Tuesday and continue through Wednesday, according to sources. The focus will continue to be on his lower right leg, which he broke in 2014 during a minor league game. Correa has not spent time on the injured list for a right-leg ailment in his whole entire big league career, but the Giants and the Mets medical staff had concerns about how the leg would age, thus never finalizing a contract with the star shortstop, who will remain a Minnesota Twin and help them fight for a American League Central title.

Minnesota Remains Undefeated In 2023 By Beating Houston (104-96)

Minnesota Remains Undefeated In 2023 By Beating Houston (104-96)

The Minnesota Timberwolves came into this game on a three-game winning streak feeling great. It’s a new year but also a new look Timberwolves as Anthony Edwards has become one of the primary ball handlers. The Houston Rockets on the other hand are young but still searching for their identity nightly.

The Timberwolves were challenged in this game as Kevin Porter Jr was able to get loose tonight. When Porter Jr is in attack mode it seems as though everything goes well for the Rockets. Porter Jr was taking advantage of the mismatch when the bigs were switched on him and made them pay. The Rockets were able to get out in transition in this one and had their defense determine their offense. Kevin Porter Jr was the bright spot for them with 25 points as Minnesota made it tough on Jalen Green tonight with his 9 points.

In the last couple of games, D’Angelo Russell has been loading in that points column, and tonight was no different. When the Timberwolves need that player that can get in ISO and get a bucket Russell has shown up big time. Throughout the season and tonight Russell continued his hot scoring as he was able to drop a game-high 22 points with 6 assists, and 3 rebounds. Russell has been consistent all season for the Timberwolves and he was able to give the Rockets that work tonight. Inside and outside it didn’t matter in that second half as Russell put the team on his back helping Anthony Edwards. Speaking of Edwards he was a game-time decision in this one but looked like regular “Ant-Man” tonight. Edwards finished the game with 21 points, 3 assists, and 4 rebounds as Minnesota was able to dominate that second half. When the Timberwolves play a complete game like this when everyone is eating their a hard team to beat. Rudy Gobert has been a double-double machine as of late and showed dominance in the paint tonight with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

The Timberwolves will be heading to Detroit to try and make it 5 straight wins in the calendar year of 2023.
