The Air Huarache was designed by Tinker Hatfield as part of a directional series that focused on containment with a neoprene interior bootie and reductive upper design; in addition to running released to the public in 1991. Releasing very sparsely throughout the earlier half of the 1990s, the Huaraches caught the attention of the sneaker sub-culture in the early 2000s thanks to collaborations with Stussy and other sought-after colorways like  the “Escape” from 2003.

Kicks Through the Lens (Week 16)

Kicks Through the Lens (Week 16)

Featured

This past week we were reminded just how nice the Jordan XXXV P.E.’s are. We only wish that Jordan Brand would release more of these player exclusive colorways to the public. Jayson Tatum, Kemba Walker, Carmelo Anthony, and Luka Doncic appear in week 16’s countdown all sporting the 35th signature shoe in MJ’s line. Nike Kobe 6 Protros are still coming out in full force, but don’t get your hopes up, they’re not going back on the customizable platform anytime soon. Lastly, Kevin Durant debuted his 14th signature sneaker on court this past week. The Nike KD 14’s are the first KD model to feature a strap since the 7’s. Unique patterns have graced the uppers of the first few colorways we have seen so far. Look for Kevin Durant to sport his 14th signature shoe for the remainder of the 2020-21 season. Official Promo Image for The CW’s Live-Action POWERPUFF GIRLS Series

Official Promo Image for The CW’s Live-Action POWERPUFF GIRLS Series

Celebs

The live-action Powerpuff Girls series set to air on the CW has released the first official promo image. Based on the original Cartoon Network animated series and characters created by Craig McCracken. So Sugar, Spice, Everything Nice, and the addition of Chemical X created three perfect little girls, but what happens when America’s pint-sized superheroes Blossom (Chloe Bennet), Bubbles (Dove Cameron), and Buttercup (Yana Perrault ), are now are disillusioned twentysomethings who resent having lost their childhood to crime-fighting. Will they agree to reunite now that the world needs them more than ever?

Photos from the set have surfaced last week, giving fans a  first real look at what to expect first look as Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup were all decked out in their costumes, which are simple and minimalist. The series will also star Donald Faison as Professor Drake Utonium and Nicholas Podany as Mojo Jojo Jr.

Heather Regnier (Veronica Mars) and Diablo Cody (Juno) have written the script for the pilot, and Maggie Kiley is set to direct. Regnier, Cody, and Kiley will all executive produce alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and David Madden.

Here are the character descriptions via Variety:

Blossom — though she was a spunky, conscientious, Little-Miss-Perfect child who holds several advanced degrees — has repressed kiddie-superhero trauma has left her feeling anxious and reclusive, and she aims to become a leader again, this time on her own terms.

Bubbles’ sweet-girl disposition won America’s hearts as a child. She still sparkles as an adult, but her charming exterior belies an unexpected toughness and wit. She’s initially more interested in recapturing her fame than saving the world, but she just might surprise us and herself.

Buttercup was the rebellious badass of The Powerpuff Girls in its heyday. More sensitive than her tough exterior suggests, Buttercup has spent her adulthood trying to shed her Powerpuff Girl identity and live an anonymous life.
